B. Dorstrom Puzzle
The B. Dorstrom (or Dorstrom Hub) is actually an very old puzzle design that was originally patented in 1906, but had been revived by Michel van Ipenburg and crafted by Robrecht Louage.
There are 3 layers of smooth star-shaped discs which are made from trespa, which is a very durable, high pressure compact laminate panel. These discs are encased by a rectangular ring. The goal of the puzzle is to free the ring from the puzzle and then of course, be able to put it back to the start. Several of the protruding arms appear to contain some notches which will allow the ring be manipulated. There is a surprising motion you will discover in the solution that will leave you appreciating a clever and enjoyable "old", but new puzzle!
