This chess set package includes our Deluxe Old Club with ebonized and natural boxwood pieces matched with our Classic Walnut and Maple Chess Board.The Deluxe Old Club is an ageless classic and one of our most popularmodels that is often referred to as the Reykjavik. The knights have simple but distinct features with an attractive overall shape and profile while the other pieces are traditional Stanton in every respect. This is a medium size set with a 3.25" tall king and a base diameter of 1.4". The pieces are nicely weighted for stability on the chess board and have thick green baize pads. We include 2 extra queens for pawn promotion.The walnut and maple chess board is made with the finest veneers and sealed in semi-gloss polyurethane protective finish. The squares are 1.75" and the overall size of the board is 17" and .5" thick. A wide black inlay border accentuates the playing area and the bottom of the board has pads to protect whatever surface it sets on.
