Karakuri SOGO Box 2

This is the remade version of SS-9 SOGO Box which was made in 2019.  It is a work that uses the structure of "kumiki".  Kumiki is a Japanese word which means "to join wood together". In Japan, the term "kumiki" refers to several different varieties of woodcraft, especially wooden interlocking puzzles. They are also known as "burr puzzles." Each puzzle is handcrafted and displayed as a work of art, created in precision as is evident in how exact the puzzle pieces together.
The surface of the SOGO Box 2 has a pattern of alternating three-color chips on all six sides.  The solution is similar, but inverted, from the original SS-9 Box.
Japanese puzzle boxes are handmade with superb quality. They combine amazing artistry and design with the challenge of puzzle.  There is only one combination to open each box. Sides of the box move or slide to allow other pieces to move as well.  These actions, performed in the right combination will open the lid.  These beautiful boxes are perfect for gifts or wonderful as a conversation piece or keepsake.
Because of the hand-made nature of the box, the picture or pattern may have slight variations.

Comes packaged in a cardboard gift box and includes a solution.
